Komona, a 14-year-old girl (amazingly portrayed by award winning Rachel Mwanza in her first turn as an actress) who has been kidnapped by rebels to become a child soldier. She escapes from the camp with an albino soldier and experiences for the very first time peace and happiness, but she can't run away from her past.
This film won a Special Jury Prize, the Golden Bear Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival and Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Both Festivals awarded Rachel Mwanza with a Best Actress prize.
