The government fails to deliver permanent housing to people evicted to build a road.
A community was evicted from the Siyanda informal settlement, Durban (South Africa) in March 2009 in order to allow the construction of a road. One of the conditions of the eviction order was the provision of permanent housing within a year. That was two years ago. In February 2012, the Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa filed a motion requiring that permanent housing be provided. This is a companion video to DEAR MANDELA.
